Understand Your Baby’s Poo & Support Science
Danone’s Global Research Center is running a scientific research project in France to investigate stool of infants. The aim is to better understand which factors impact infant stool consistency.
It will only take 15 minutes of your time. It is easy and it will help science enormously!
You will receive feedback information on your infant’s stool and as a thank you a 5 euro Amazon voucher.
You’re welcome to upload data as often as you like! This helps us better understand how your baby’s stool changes over time.

Why Participate?
Your participation will help our scientists learn more about infant digestion and how different factors—like diet or feeding type—affect stool consistency. This can lead to better advice and support for parents in the future.
Plus, you’ll receive a small thank-you gift (an e-voucher) and a feedback report about your baby’s stool after each upload.
Is It Safe and Easy?
Yes! The study is fully remote, quick (about 15 minutes per upload), and designed to fit your routine. All information and stool diaper photos are kept confidential and secure. Participation is voluntary, and you can stop at any time.
What do I have to do?
Participating in the PopoData study is simple and flexible:
- Sign Up: Access the PopoData app and give your consent to join the study.
- Recent stool diaper photo: have a photo ready of the most recent stool diaper of your infant. Make sure you take the stool in the diaper is clearly visible.
Better images => better science. For tips on how to take the best image go here.
- Share Information: Answer a few questions about your baby’s feeding, health, and background.
- Upload a Photo: Take a picture of your baby’s diaper, if not already done, and upload it through the app.
- Receive Feedback: After the upload, you’ll get a feedback report about your baby’s stool and a small thank-you gift (e-voucher).
- Repeat if You Wish: You can upload more photos and updated information as often as you like, until your baby turns 6 months old. More uploads will help to better understand your baby’s stool changes over time.
